Monosodium glutamate, or MSG, is a salt of glutamic acid, an amino acid that occurs naturally in many foods, especially in tomatoes and fermented soy products. It is used in the food industry and in restaurants to enhance the flavour of food.
MSG has been the subject of numerous studies that have yet to demonstrate any harmful effects of the product. However, because many people are intolerant to MSG, we have opted to omit it from our products.
